New Duffy Ride

Anchors Away Boat Rentals recently launched behind Marina Pacifica at 6274 E. PCH, just in time for the popular Duffy boat-riding season through the well-lit canals of Naples.

The company, owned by Nigel Ohrberg, boasts eight new 12-seat Duffy boats that are fully furnished with comfortable and modern amenities such as phone charging cables, stereo systems and captain hats.

Ohrberg, who worked at an advertising agency before launching his full-time boat rental company, said he’s been happy to work alongside his 11-year-old son, Gavin, and trade in his business attire for dock shoes.

“We want each of our guests to experience five-star service on the water,” Ohrberg said. “All of our boats look like private luxury Duffy boats … and, we have signs with a nautical rope that each customer gets to name their own boat before they leave as a group. People truly feel like they are in their own private boat.”

Anchors Away also has a spacious waiting area with outdoor games such as corn hole, giant Jenga and more.

Normal rates for boat rentals are $180 for two hours. Holiday season rates are $250 for two hours. Gift cards and $2,500 annual club memberships also are available.
