The 2012-2013 season for Long Beach State’s Sailing Team is right around the corner. Coming off of the most successful season in Long Beach State’s recent Sailing history, having made it to the semifinals-Finals in Annapolis, MD and being recognized as the Best New Organization on Campus.

The team is comprised of coed freshmen to seniors, all of whom are stiff competitors and will make for many challenging races. Leading the races is head-skipper and President, Shane Young, who has won numerous awards in competitive sailing and participated in Congressional Cup 2012 representing the Team Durant Crew, LB Yacht Club and only adds to the repertoire of the team. The remaining starting crew and returning veterans include; Kristen Barca, Foya Lazare, Camille Hambly, Mark Ryan, Nick Santos, Eric Hanna, as well as the team’s newest members; John Hill and Alex Newton.

The first Regatta, Frosh Soph Regatta, will be held October 6th and 7th and UCSD.
