Seal Beach Car Show Filled With Classics

More than 500 cars will be on display in Old Towne at the 21st Annual Seal Beach Car Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Saturday, April 26.

Hosted by the Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce, the event will showcase hot rods, classics, custom cars and racecars. Several National Hot Rod Association dragsters also will be at the show. Admission is free, and organizers expect 15,000 to 20,000 attendees.

The award ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m. More than 20 trophies will be given away, including Best Corvette, Best Camaro, Best Mustang and Best American Sports Car.

Six live bands also will take the stage that Saturday: Sugah Daddy (swing/boogie/blues); Jungle Juice (rock); Jonathan Blake (acoustic/blues/alternative); Sligo Rags (Celtic/bluegrass); Pat Gallagher (acoustic/rock); and Danny Dean and the Homewreckers (rockabilly).

In addition to the cars on display, the city will host several auxiliary events.

The Seal Beach Lions Club will conduct its annual Pancake Breakfast at the Pier, from 7 to 11 a.m. Children of all ages will be able to participate in the Pinewood Derby, at the Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce, 201 8th St., Suite 120. The Parent Teacher Student Association, from Los Alamitos High School, will conduct a Bucks for Ducks fundraiser from 1 to 3 p.m. on the pier.

Parking will be available in the lots at Eighth and 10th streets and along the streets outside the event’s perimeter. Street parking will be subject to limited times.
