Welcome to the Gazette Newspaper archives. Archives include articles that have appeared in both the print and online versions of the Grunion and Downtown Gazettes from January of 2001 to the present. Archives do not include photographs or letters to the editor. Obituary articles and notices from our classifieds are included from 2004 on. Customers may access the past 90 days of publication at no cost. Searches beyond recent stories yield results with an article's headline, date, author and first paragraph. If searching using the ALL button selected, type in the words you believe most likely will appear in the article you want. The words will have to be an exact match of what actually appears in the article.
If you are not sure if one of the words you enter will be in the article, selection the ANY button. This will find more articles but you will more likely find what you are looking for.
If you need to find articles containing a phrase, choose the EXACT button. This search will allow you to find articles about, for example, "John Doe", without getting articles about "John Smith" or "Jane Doe".
Date specific Unless you specify, the search will only look for articles published in the last two weeks. Use the pull down menu to selection either the last six months or a full year. To further narrow your search click the click the button next to FROM and choose the month, day and year range you want to search.
Sorting your results You can choose to sort the articles you find by listing the most recently published articles first or by listing the oldest articles published first. You can also choose to have the articles that best match your keywords, or most relevant, first.
Number of articles returned You can select the number of articles to be returned from your search.
