Long Beach State University enrolled nearly 3,800 transfer students for the Fall 2017 term, a number that placed the campus among the top 10 in the country, according to a release.

In a survey by U.S. News and World Report, nearly 1,200 colleges and universities were surveyed about the number of transfer students enrolled, and only nine institutions enrolled more transfers than Long Beach State, the survey said.

“A Long Beach State education changes lives, and I’m grateful to our faculty and staff for giving so many transfer students a chance to earn their degrees here,” President Jane Close Conoley said in a release.
