A Latino economic impact profile report for Long Beach will be unveiled Tuesday, Nov. 13, in the first ever Latino Economic Summit.

Centro CHA, Inc., Long Beach, and the Community Hispanic Organization have organized the event with participation from the city's Economic Development Department, Mayor Robert Garcia's office, Cal State Long Beach and the state Department of Social Services.

Garcia and other speakers will address the Latino community's impact on the Long Beach economy. There also will be time to discuss programs and policies to strengthen economic upward mobility, health and civic engagement.

There is no charge to attend the summit, and it is open to the public, but attendees are asked to RSVP at adriana@centrocha.org. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Long Beach Convention Center, 300 E. Ocean Blvd.
