Philz Coffee's newest location is brewing in Belmont Shore.

The American company headquartered in San Francisco focuses specifically on drip coffee, and cups are being poured now at its newest location. A soft opening took place yesterday, (Wednesday, Dec. 19) at 4801 E. Second St.

This newest coffeeshop, part of a chain spread along the West Coast, will be officially open for regular business hours starting today, Thursday.

According to the company website, "We brew every cup one cup at a time, crafting a perfect cup to every individual customer’s taste. You won’t find any lattes, cappuccinos, espressos, or pre-brews. Instead, you'll find over 20 customized blends made from high quality beans from around the world."

Caremore Remodel

CareMore Health is ringing in the New Year with a newly remodeled care center and additional services at 4540 E. Seventh St.

MemorialCare Medical Group recently expanded its Southern California sports medicine program with the opening of a new Long Beach office at 2888 Long Beach Blvd., Suite 325.

The new health center includes two board certified primary care sports medicine physicians: Jeffry Lai, M.D. and Joshua Snodgrass, M.D. They specialize in both prevention and treatment of sports-related illness and injuries.
