The Queen Mary is synonymous with entertainment, and this summer will be no different with at least eight events for your enjoyment.
So how does a person pick what to see? Amy Berner, director of entertainment events at the Queen Mary, helped out with her top three must-see selections.
“Absolutely the Fourth of July has to be first on the list,” she said. “It’s a massive celebration with live music, lots of food and the best fireworks.”
Berner’s second choice is the Rock the Queen musical event.
“We are using areas of the ship for the concert we don’t usually use,” she said. “In the Grand Salon it will be Who vs. the Beatles. And down below it will be First Wave bands. We will also have British beers and fish and chips.”
The Indiana Jones double feature on June 20 is No. 3 on Berner’s list of things to see.
“The Queen Mary launched in 1936 so it ties in nicely with the Indiana Jones double feature,” she said. “It should be a lot of fun.”
Concerts are on tap this summer, too, but the big three – Once Upon a Time in the LBC, Del Fuego and Smokin’ Grooves – are sold out. Other concerts are in the works, Berner said.
