ARIES (March 21-April 19). While attempting to learn a thing, you may feel it's getting the better of you. This is largely due to impatience, lack of faith, short-sightedness and the like, which will fall away when you push the pause button and catch your breath. Then, resolve yourself to the long view. This is a marathon, not a sprint.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You're a master alchemist this week, transforming through a seemingly magical process, the main focus of your skill being moods, tones and the general feeling of rooms. How do you do it? Even you may not be completely sure, but your strong intention to improve things wherever you go is definitely a key part.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You're not greedy; you genuinely love to give! But it becomes strikingly apparent this week that you need more from a situation than you're getting. Commence pondering. Should you give more to get more? Or is there something inherently wrong that makes achieving balance impossible in this scenario?

CANCER (June 22-July 22). You've been protected from some of life's darker aspects, but you've seen enough to know the range. This is what drives your instinct to protect someone else, an effort you won't regret and, in fact, will someday be quite proud of. The end of the week features spontaneity that comes from the heart.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). The limelight (or calcium light) that used to illuminate stages has long been replaced by electric light, yet the description remains part of our language of fame. Similarly, something you used to get a lot of attention for is no longer in your repertoire, but you're still known for it. And you'll enjoy the glow of that this week.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). What does it mean when you make a long to-do list and then realize you don't feel like doing any of it? It's not laziness. Your enormous sense of responsibility has edged out your individual joy and well-being. Be a kinder boss to yourself. Reduce the load. Make room for what your heart needs.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). The body and mind don't always get along with one another. It's as though there's a war for power and each thinks its own domain should be the ruling faction. Making them work together is tricky this week, but not impossible. Each needs to listen, respect and accept the powers of the other.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). When situations go well this week it will be because you were either prepared, experienced or both. Background knowledge on a subject will give you an edge. It will make you confident and comfortable because you have plenty of context to draw from. Set yourself up for success by learning all you can beforehand.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You'll be feeling uncharacteristically introverted for part of the week, but giving into the urge to isolate may stunt your growth. Pump yourself up and get out there. Because every social interaction will teach you a little more about who you are, who you've been and who you want to be. You're growing.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). When you love someone who loves you back, you can't help but feel like that person is, in a way, yours. Indeed, the lines of identity seem to overlap and blur. And yet it's so important to recognize, adore and support the individual, independent spirit. The essence of love isn't ownership. It's appreciation.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). The natural human instinct many will follow is to surround themselves with only people and information they agree with. While that may be the most comfortable scenario, and it serves the ego just fine, it's a recipe for shallow living. You'll do the opposite and seek diverse influences to strengthen your game.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). There is no logical argument that will be effective against illogical biases and opinions. Realizing that such a battle would be futile, you'll sit back and observe the other side with great curiosity. This is the winning move. Gather information. Seek understanding. When it's time to advance your interests, you'll know it.

THIS WEEK'S BIRTHDAYS: You truly believe that life is a gift, and you spend a good amount of time figuratively writing thank-you cards this year. This sort of ritual can feel like a chore, but one that's execution invigorates your life in unexpected ways. Here comes the joy. Your stable of friends will widen to unlikely characters and people so different from you that it may at times feel you have little in common. Good. It's what makes your team strong and what kicks off important and memorable adventures.
