Wendy Hornsby, a former history teacher at Long Beach City College and former columnist at the Grunion Gazette, has released another book in her popular Maggie MacGowen mystery series.
"Number 7, Rue Jacob" is the 11th in the series, which she began while living in Long Beach. Her intrepid hero, Maggie MacGowen, has moved from the Hollywood Hills to Europe, where this mystery is set.
Hornsby has won the Edgar Award for mystery writing. After retiring from teaching, she and her husband Paul moved up the California coast.
