" Parker's Lighthouse.
Probably the worst food in long beach. Parker's lighthouse offers a wonderful view, and a very nice atmosphere. Food quality? Horrible!
Over priced, tasteless I feel subway would be a better choice.
My wife and I frequent the city of long beach and out lying areas quite often in search of quality food and atmosphere.
At Parker's she ordered the Chicken Pene' and I the Salmon. An appetizer was also on our choice which is pretty much nothing to remember.
The Chicken pene came with a watered down and tasteless sauce. very pleasing to the eye, but taste was horrible. The chicken was dry? Imagine that, a dry chicken in a pene sauce? the salmon was complimented with mashed potatoes and veggies....mashed potatoes? ok, I will try it. I may have well ordered mashed potatoes...a mound of mash...and two very small slivers of salmon, I mean a mound!
For desert, my Moroccan beauty ordered the souffle...when it arrived, she laughed..."why is it hot?" she said. A chocolate souffle, hot fresh out of the oven, which tasted like a chocolate brownie mix. She is a very experienced chef, with a french background and stated "souffle is a dish served cold"!
Not impressed, for $100 and two dinners, save yourself some money and settle for a light snack at subway for 6 bucks "

" Sofy's Thai on PCH!
Wow! A home run in Thai cuisine!
Extremely clean, wonderful and friendly staff and probably the best Thai food this far from Thailand.
I want to go eat there every night. The curry is so flavorful as is the soup of any type. My wonderful wife, a Moroccan beauty and accomplished chef has stated on both of our two encounters "I want to have the recipe"
Be bold and take a chance and order anything on the menu.... you will not be disappointed! "

" Please excuse me...I mis typed..it's Sophy's, not Sofy's.
So on that not, don't be shy, request a booth, they are very accommodating. And make sure you ask for fresh basil with your soup...wonderful!
The Thai tea is to die for....but share it, calories are high :) "
