    Michael’s on Naples is serving a “Turkey Busting” special for those who want to eat out on Friday, but are sick of turkey. The dinner includes lasagna or pasta with wild boar meatball appetizer, sea bass or short ribs and a special dessert, all for just $33. They’ll also be serving their regular menu. Michael’s is at 5620 E. Second St. Call 439-7080 for reservations.

    A class on “How to Cook Fish and Seafood” starts at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, at Olives, 3510 E. Broadway. Participants will learn about selection, preparation and wine pairing and enjoy crab cakes, pan-seared salmon and more along with appropriate wines. It’s $55 per person. Call 439-7758.

    Smooth’s Sports Grille, 144 Pine Ave., has revamped its lunch menu, with many of the dishes created by the owner himself, John Morris. The menu still features some of Smooth’s classics, and now includes things like Penne Arrabiata (pasta with tomato sauce and choice of grilled chicken or sausage), a Tuna Sashimi Salad with avocado, Blackened Ahi, Grilled Skirt Steak Tacos and more.     From 4 to 7 p.m. daily, Finbars Italian Kitchen hosts a happy hour, featuring $5 drinks and bar-menu specials. Additional specials are offered throughout the week. Monday is restaurant industry night where those in the business can receive 15% off food. Tuesday is open mic night, beginning at 7 p.m. On Wednesday, customers can receive half-off a bottle of wine with the purchase of two entrees, and on Sundays, omelets cost $5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call 430-4303.     A Friday night wine-flight will be offered at Ristorante daVinci through the end of November. For $60, customers can first enjoy a sampling of different varietals and wineries and then enjoy an aerial view of Long Beach on a helicopter tour. To reserve, call 685-8111.     Through the end of the year, the Sky Room will serve an economic bailout-themed dinner. The prix fix, three-course menu includes Caesar salad and crème brulée with a kobe burger, game hen, salmon or a vegetarian ravioli for $49. Call 983-2703. The Sky Room is at 40 S. Locust Ave.

    Customers can enjoy a three-course, Americana dinner with comfort-food classics at Lasher’s with their Wednesday night chef’s tasting menu. For $29, guests can choose from such favorites as fried green tomatoes, New England clam chowder, roasted pork loin, fresh King salmon and caramel-apple bread pudding.     Through November, the Daily Grill will serve a three-course turkey dinner. For $21.95, customers can enjoy the tastes of Thanksgiving with butternut squash soup, roasted turkey and stuffing, mashed potatoes, spiced bread pudding and more, and a portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Union Rescue Mission.     Wines from the St. Frances Winery and Vineyards will be paired with gourmet food at a holiday wine dinner beginning at 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 8, at Café Piccolo. The menu includes Portobello ravioli, grilled salmon over orzo, grilled lamb loin and much more. The cost is $49.95 per person, plus tax and tip. For reservations, call 438-1316.     The wines of South Africa will be featured in a four-course gourmet dinner beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, at Utopia. The menu includes grilled calamari, lamb chops in a tarragon garlic wine sauce, lobster ravioli and more. The price is $50 per person plus tax and tip. For reservations, call 432-6888.
